Electric-welded pipes
Electric-welded steel pipes are automatically subjected to eddy current test for hydraulic density according to EN10246.
The pipes that pass the test are used for fluid transfer - water and gas pipelines and heating installations.
Those that don’t meet the standards are used for the production of metal constructions. The pipes are evenly cut from both sides. Length tolerances range within ± 100 mm.
Seamless steel pipes
Thermally stretched seamless steel pipes are made of construction and low alloy steel types and find application in pipeline installations, gas-main installations,
metal constructions, production of machine details and others.
The pipes are packed in bundles with a steel band and weight up to 5000 kg.
Strip-cutting unit
The strip-cutting unit has been operational since December 10, 1971. Its maximum capacity is 100 thousand tones per year. It is able to cut 2.5 to 5 mm thick
hot-rolled steel plates with a weight of 8 to 16 tones for the incoming and up to 5 tones for
the outgoing coils. The strip is mainly used for producing electric-welded pipes, as per Bulgarian National Standard (BNS), DIN, EN etc.
Cross-cutting unit
The line, forming the tin from rolls into plates, has been operational since May 2006.
The equipment is designed to cut 2.00 to 5.00 mm thick iron plate, with incoming rolls weighting between 8 and 12 tons, while outgoing packs - up to 5 tons.
The width of the plate could vary between 500 and 1500 mm.
